Evaluation Question1

Our groups "What If" documentary along with the ancillary texts uses the codes and conventions of media products that we identified at the start of the project. We chose to follow the codes and conventions as they have been put there for a specific reason in order to make them media industry standard.

Evaluation Question3

After we finished making the three productions, we presented all of them to our class in order to achieve audience feedback. We then got the class to complete our questionnaire we constructed after seeing the documentary, radio trailer and print advert.

As a group we made three audience feedback questionnaire's including: the print add, documentary and the radio trailer.
This is the questionnaire me and my group gave out to the class.

I shared my documentary to Facebook to see what my friends really thought about my documentary. The screenshots below show the evaluative comments they gave back to me.Therefore, from the feedback I have learnt that people found the topic of regret really interesting and all the aspects involved within.

Completed Documentary

Here is my completed documentary on the topic "Regret".

Radio Advert

This is our groups radio advert.

Newspaper advert production

I created our Print Ad based on our Radio Trailer and Documentary. Using an SLR camera I went and took the images that would be featured. I then edited the image using Adobe Photoshop. I decided to go with a black and white effect as I wanted the print add to look unique and eye catching to the viewer.
Here is my version of the print add, we decided my print add was the one we would be using to represent our documentary:

Editing Process

Here is our power point we have created to show how we edited our documentary using Adobe Premiere in order to make our documentary as professional as possible.

Edit Decision List

After we had watched all of our footage we decided what we where going to include within our documentary and in what order, with reference to our Running Order. We noted down the file number, a description of the clip and the timing of the film used.

Logging Sheet

After we filmed all footage that could be used within our documentary we looked through it. We came up with a description to each clip discussing why we could use it and why we couldn't use it.
This is our groups logging sheet:

Filming

For our documentary 'What If?' together as a group we went filming at various locations in order to create our interviews, voxpops and cutaways based on the answers that where given by the interviewees.

Here are the photographs we took as a group for proof we filmed all the interviews.
Interview: Steven Crane (tattooist)

Interview: Julie Loucas (Anty)

Interview: Mr Clark (teacher)

Interview: Sharon Kenyon (nurse)

Interview Questions for each Interview

We created a list questions for each interview we had set up. These questions all stayed relevant to our chosen topic "Regrets" and made them specific for each location we filmed in.

Planning

We created a storyboard for the title sequence for our documentary and created sketched images of the interviews that are going to take place. Then we made individual questions that we would ask the interviewee's.

Codes and Conventions Of Radio Trailers

In class we looked at different radio trailers and established their codes and conventions. From these examples I made a presentation:
