During the lesson we conducted our primary and secondary research in our groups. This included possible interviews, locations, mise-en-scene and archive material.

Edith Piaf non je ne regrette rien

Piaf dedicated her recording of the song to the French Legion. At the time of the recording, France was engaged in a military conflict, the Algerian War (1954-1962), and the 1st REP (1st Foreign Parachute Regiment)-which backed the failed 1961 putsch against president Charles de Gaulle and the civilian leadership of Algeria-adopted the song when their resistance was broken.

This would be a suitable song to maybe use in relation to fit to the mise en scene if we interview someone who's regret is based on a relationship or a past lover or wishing they stayed with someone theynever or chose the one they loved instead of the one their family preffered them to be with ect.

Robbie Williams-No Regrets

The chorus of this song could be suitable in relation to any particular topic on regrets such as it could be in the background of an interview or it could come before an interview whilst someone is talking about any particular topic relating to general and deep regrets.

We found this image of statistics included in a speech from Kathryn Schulz about regrets. The statistics show that the top four regrets in ranking order are education being the most biggest regret then in second comes career's, in third comes romance and in forth place comes parenting. These four topics of regrets could be our main focus in our documentary therefore, finding out why these are the top four biggest regrets and we will then find people to interview who's regret comes under one of those four topics.

This is a speech from Kathryn Schulz who is talking a lot about the psychology behind regrets and regrets being categorized as long term or short term regrets. This could also be a main focus in our documentary focusing on the difference between long and short term regrets and the stages of thoughts on regrets, almost like the process of a regret from when it first happens to the change in minds set as time goes on to back this up I also have an image from the video on the characteristics of regret.

We watched a short documentary about regrets on tattoo's. This gave us pathways which we could take as we would consider having tattoo's as a potential focus in our documentary's as from this documentary we have found that they're is so many people out there who have regrets on tattoo's. Therefore we could find a lot of different people to interview who will be willing to talk about their tattoo regret.
